How to choose a dog wheelchair?
Dog wheelchairs are the most commonly used assistive devices when dogs begin to age, arthritis, paralysis and other diseases appear. Although there are not many pet wheelchair stores on the market, it is very important to choose one that suits your home.
#Depending on the purpose of choosing a wheelchair
The primary goals for dogs using wheelchairs fall into two categories:
Type 1: Dogs able to walk with assistance. Typically, these dogs may benefit from limb amputation due to long-term paralysis where limbs still drag. Suspension is recommended to prevent ground friction, ensuring comfort and mobility.
Type 2: Dogs aiming for improved physical condition to eventually walk without assistance. It’s crucial for these dogs that their feet touch the ground in the wheelchair, allowing for natural movements. This type often includes elderly or arthritic dogs with some limb function remaining, who use wheelchairs to aid mobility and rehabilitation.
Both types can benefit significantly from wheelchair use, with many dogs undergoing training to potentially regain mobility and reduce reliance on the wheelchair through patience, guidance, and targeted exercises.

#Based on the support type of the dog wheelchair
Dog wheelchairs typically offer two main types of support: abdominal pads and leg supports. Choosing between these depends on the dog’s specific condition, especially common symptoms of paralysis.
For most paralyzed dogs, abdominal support is recommended, while leg support is more suitable for arthritis issues. However, the decision should be based on the exact location of spinal paralysis or clinical symptoms, ideally confirmed by a veterinarian.
It’s crucial to adjust the support pads to the correct height. Improper adjustment can exert unnecessary pressure on the spine or alter the body’s center of gravity, affecting limb training outcomes. Too high or too low padding won’t provide effective support.

#Depending on the environment in which the pet wheelchair is used
Have you ever happily received a wheelchair that you have ordered for a long time, but suddenly found that the dog bumped into each other when walking around the house, bumping here and there, and just dealing with the aftermath gave you a headache. Everyone loves their dogs very much, but when choosing a wheelchair, remember to take the size of the dog into consideration and evaluate the current living environment. How wide is the dog? What is the width of the wheelchair? Is the environment large or small? Is the passage wide or narrow? Is it tidy or not? These are all things you need to consider. Don’t go home after purchasing and find that there is no space for your dog to run around in a wheelchair, and some even have no room to turn. However, if you have already bought it and this happens, don’t be discouraged. You can refer to the following usage methods to achieve the maximum effect.
Solution: Practice standing at home and walking outdoors
In fact, practicing standing is also a very important training. In fact, for some dogs who are not good at it, the effect is no less than practicing walking.

The lightweight nature of aerospace-grade aluminum makes the dog wheelchair easy to handle and maneuver. This is beneficial for both the dog and the owner, reducing strain during use and transport.
Being lightweight, the wheelchair does not add excessive weight to the dog, allowing for smoother and more natural movement. This is crucial for dogs with limited strength, ensuring they can move comfortably.
Aerospace-grade aluminum is highly durable, able to withstand the wear and tear of daily use. This ensures the wheelchair remains functional and safe over a long period, providing reliable support for the dog.
Despite being lightweight, this aluminum is extremely strong, capable of supporting dogs of various sizes and weights without bending or breaking. This makes it suitable for even large and heavy breeds.
EVA Cushioned Foam-Filled Tires:
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is a polymer known for its excellent cushioning properties and durability. Foam-filled tires provide a smooth, comfortable ride and are maintenance-free compared to traditional air-filled tires.
EVA cushioned foam-filled tires are an excellent choice for dog wheelchairs due to their comfort, durability, and maintenance-free nature. They provide enhanced cushioning and a smooth ride, essential for dogs with mobility issues. The puncture-resistant, lightweight, and all-terrain capabilities make them versatile and reliable for various environments. Additionally, their weather-resistant and non-toxic properties ensure long-lasting and safe use, contributing to the overall effectiveness and convenience of the dog wheelchair.
Dense Foam Leg Sleeves
Dense foam is a type of foam with a high density, providing excellent support and cushioning. It is durable, resilient, and often used in applications where comfort and protection are essential.
The leg sleeves can often be adjusted or customized to fit the dog’s legs perfectly, ensuring maximum comfort and support. This adjustability allows for a tailored fit that accommodates changes in the dog’s condition.
Dense foam leg sleeves are a critical component of dog wheelchairs, providing essential comfort, support, and protection. They offer enhanced cushioning, stability, and impact absorption, which are vital for dogs with mobility issues or injuries. The durability and easy maintenance of dense foam ensure long-lasting use, while the customizable fit ensures maximum comfort for dogs of all sizes. These properties collectively contribute to improving the dog’s overall mobility, safety, and quality of life.
Adjustable straps:
The adjustable straps allow for precise customization of the wheelchair’s fit to the dog’s body. This ensures a snug and comfortable fit, regardless of the dog’s size or shape.
Dogs come in various shapes and sizes, and adjustable straps accommodate these differences by providing options for length and tension adjustment. This ensures that the wheelchair can be tailored to fit each dog’s unique proportions.
Adjustable straps provide a secure and stable attachment of the wheelchair to the dog’s body. This prevents the wheelchair from shifting or slipping during movement, ensuring the dog’s safety and comfort.
The straps are designed for easy and quick adjustment, allowing for on-the-go modifications as needed. This convenience simplifies the process of putting on and removing the wheelchair, saving time and effort for the owner.

#We value every life
Gao Xiaodong is a veteran.
One day in 2005, Mr. Gao received a call from his wife. “I found a little dog that seems to have been run over by a car. I want to save it. Do you have any good ideas?” After disinfecting and cleaning the dog’s wounds, he suddenly recalled a visit to an old master in Beijing during his previous job. The master had made a custom wheelchair for his own dog with a similar leg injury. Gao Xiaodong’s welding skills were so-so, but he took apart some roller skates for their wheels, gathered some unused iron frames and wooden boards, and finally crafted a small three-wheeled wheelchair for the little white dog.
The little white dog lived with the wheelchair for about two years. Gradually, its legs healed, and it was able to run freely again.

#We value every life
On a winter night in 2007, Mr. Gao’s old friend drove to find him. He had adopted a stray cat with a physical disability and sought Mr. Gao’s help to make a wheelchair for the cat. Knowing that his friend had always been rescuing stray cats and helping small animals, Mr. Gao decided to waive the wheelchair fee. He also committed to providing free wheelchairs for all the animals his friend would rescue in the future.
Over the past 16 years, tens of thousands of pet wheelchairs have come from our team. His clients range from busy white-collar workers to middle-aged and elderly people seeking companionship from pets. For those requests that come from animal rescue efforts, he often chooses to offer the wheelchairs at a reduced price or even for free.

“Thank you, this sheep has been a tremendous blessing to our family.”
Reading these words from a customer, We are all momentarily puzzled.
——A few years ago, an Austrian boy who had once studied in China contacted us, hoping to get a custom-made wheelchair for his sheep. It was the first time he had received an order for a sheep, and shipping it abroad added to the complexity. Initially, We planned to decline. But when the boy explained, “My sister’s child grew up drinking this sheep’s milk. It means a lot to us,” he decided to give it a try and replied, “We’ll do our best to make one for you!”
A scary order

In our workshop, we also received an extraordinary request from a noble family in Dubai—to create a wheelchair for their beloved tiger, Sultan. Sultan had injured his hind legs, and the family was determined to give him the best care possible.
We felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. He had made wheelchairs for various animals, but a tiger was a new challenge. Understanding the importance of the task, he agreed to take it on.
We began by consulting with veterinarians in Dubai and receiving detailed measurements and videos of Sultan. Back in workshop, Our designers designed a high-strength aluminum wheelchair with large, durable wheels and a custom suspension system. Construction was meticulous, ensuring every joint was welded perfectly and each strap was padded for comfort.
When the wheelchair was ready, Our designers-Gao flew to Dubai. The first fitting was tense, but soon Sultan began to move tentatively, then with more confidence. The wheelchair rolled smoothly, supporting his weight and allowing him to move freely for the first time since his injury.
Gao made several trips to Dubai to adjust the wheelchair, ensuring it was perfect. Sultan quickly adapted and enjoyed his newfound mobility.
Our creation gave Sultan a second chance at life, proving that compassion and innovation could overcome even the most daunting challenges.
